THE FOUNDATION
AIMS

The main aims of the Foundation are :
Alessandro Scalzi called "Il Paduano"
Frescoes of the "NARRENTREPPE",
Castle of Trausnitz (Bavaria)
  1. organising and setting up high quality cultural activities in the field of Renaissance and Baroque spectacle;

  2. furthering, promoting and working out researches, studies and documents on the study and diffusion of the praxis and theory of spectacle, of which Mantua was the centre between 1480 and 1630; moreover, as a secondary aim and for instrumental reasons, developing a publishing activity relating to such materials;

  3. furthering the building up and enrichment of the bibliographic and documentary fund so as for it to be functional to the scheduled research activities; the aim will be building up databases by means of electronic tools;

  4. getting and awarding grants for both Italians and foreigners who will attend the seminars and courses the Foundation organises;

  5. promoting and developing cultural exchanges with national and international institutions;

  6. promoting spectacular events, which will be entrusted to distinguished artists, who will creatively reconsider the fundamental aspects of Renaissance and Baroque spectacle.
